Interested in practicing or learning more about Focusing? On Sunday, October 29th from 4 - 6 p.m., Tara Breitenbucher and her colleague, Steven Biesmann, will facilitate Bend's first monthly Changes Group for people interested in participating in Focusing exchanges. This group will welcome people of various levels of experience with Focusing: from those who have been Focusing for years, to those who have minimal practice with it and are interested in learning more. People new to Focusing will be invited to observe and resources for further instruction will be provided.
Focusing is a mindfulness-like practice performed alone or with a companion, allowing an individual to attend to and engage with their inner experience, helping one to clarify and resolve places that are stuck or out of balance. This group is intended for those who have some previous instruction in Focusing, in order to be able to engage in an exchange with another person - each taking a turn as Focuser and Companion. There will be time for a short group discussion around the Focusing process after exchanges. All participants are asked to RSVP with Steven Biesmann 541-410-9039 or Tara Breitenbucher 206-303-0653. Groups are held on October 29th, and then every second Sunday after that, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon- 61980 Skyline Ranch Rd, Bend, OR 97703.
